In the work called "Absent" Ardalan tried to reflect the divergence of the issue of power within the human body and the conduct of the dominant power in excluding the other. The work consists of different clothes made of clay and positioned randomly on the ground. For two reasons the statues are clothes with natural size, design, and form: first, because clothing is an object that conveys different information such as social class, sex, ethnicity, etc., and, second because it should also be considered as personal.
